Canon Pellix 35mm SLR Camera with Canon 50mm FL

Year of Manufacture: 1965
Film: 35mm
Condition: Untested
Cost: £120.00

The Pellicle Mirror: The fixed Mylar mirror splits incoming light, sending roughly two-thirds of the light to the film and one-third up to the viewfinder. This design completely eliminates viewfinder blackout during exposure, lowers mechanical noise, and reduces camera vibration.

Light Loss & Metal Shutter: Because the mirror absorbs light, the film plane receives roughly 1/2 to 3/4 stop less exposure. Additionally, because the shutter curtain is permanently exposed to light through the lens, Canon utilized a metal focal-plane shutter instead of cloth to prevent the sun from burning a hole through it.

The Canon FL 50mm Lens: The camera pairs natively with Canon FL breechlock mount lenses. The 50mm FL lens utilizes a specialized ring to lock securely onto the camera body rather than a standard bayonet twist.
